Backend Developer (f/m/d)

At encentive, we’re building flexOn - an intelligent energy management system that uses AI to control industrial assets.

We collect real-time data from equipment, predict operational behavior, combine it with external factors (such as weather and energy prices), and optimize energy use to reduce both costs and CO2 emissions.

With our AI-powered flexOn platform, we help industrial electricity consumers actively increase flexibility, using power precisely when it’s greenest and most cost-effective.
Our goal is to accelerate the decarbonization of the energy system while significantly lowering energy costs for our customers.

• Develop, maintain, and refactor Golang microservices
• Design and document REST or GraphQL APIs for internal and external use
• Write unit, integration, and load tests to ensure quality and resilience
• Review code, identify performance issues, and propose improvements
• Use Docker and CI/CD pipelines to build and ship services efficiently
• Monitor services, respond to incidents, and continuously improve reliability
• Experience with agile methodology

• Solid (2-3yrs+) production experience with Go (Golang)
• Comfortable with automated quality tooling, like linters and static analysis tools.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases(PostgreSQL or MySQL)
• Familiarity with AWS basics(ECS/EKS, RDS, IAM)
• Confidence in Git for daily work and familiar with code reviews 

• Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration
• Familiarity with message queues(e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools(e.g. Prometheus, Grafana)
• Interest in energy markets, IoT, or data-driven optimization
• Familiarty with Protobuf and related tools
